U.S. Representative Grace Meng, who serves New York’s 6th district, has recently criticized the president’s actions and policies in a series of social media posts.
On January 3, 2026, Meng posted, “We know more about the president’s plan to run Venezuela than his plan to save health care.”
Two days later, on January 5, she wrote, “The President didn’t alert Congress—he alerted oil companies. He’s siding with billionaires over the law yet again.”
On January 6, Meng commented on proposed tariffs: “The President’s tariffs would have made pasta night double in cost. My colleagues and I fought back against these reckless and misguided tariffs on Italian pasta imports — and we won.”
Grace Meng has represented New York’s 6th District in Congress since 2013 after serving in the New York State Assembly from 2009 to 2012. She was born in New York City in 1975 and currently resides in Queens. Meng is an alumna of the University of Michigan and holds a law degree from Yeshiva University.
