Grace Meng, a member of the U.S. Congress representing New York’s 6th district, recently shared her views on various issues through a series of tweets. Serving in Congress since 2013, Meng has been vocal about her commitment to protecting Social Security and responding to national events.

On February 1, 2025, Meng tweeted about the significance of Social Security, stating “85 years ago, Ida M. Fuller received the first #SocialSecurity check. Social Security is an earned benefit that helps Americans retire with dignity after a lifetime of work. I won’t stop fighting to protect Social Security for all the hardworking families that rely on it.”

Later that day, she addressed personnel changes within federal law enforcement agencies by posting “My statement on Trump Firings of FBI Agents and Federal Prosecutors.” The tweet included a link to her full statement.

In response to a tragic event in Philadelphia, Meng expressed her condolences and gratitude towards emergency responders. On February 1, 2025, she tweeted “Terrible tragedy in Philadelphia. Praying for all who are impacted and I thank our first responders for rushing to the scene.”
