Grace Meng, U.S. Congresswoman representing New York’s 6th district since 2013, has recently highlighted several local and national issues through her official social media account.

On July 18, 2025, Meng addressed concerns about postal service reliability in Queens, stating, “Combatting mail theft in Queens is a top priority of mine. After reports of theft & delivery issues in Kew Gardens Hills, I got on the phone with the manager of the local post office who assured me that they are addressing the problem and have inspectors on the ground to respond.”

Later that day, she criticized a reported State Department plan regarding surplus medical supplies. Meng wrote on July 18, 2025: “The State Department is planning on burning medical supplies purchased with your taxpayer dollars instead of distributing them to people in need. I worked with @RepGregoryMeeks & @RepLoisFrankel to introduce a bill to stop this now & in the future. RT if you think the”

On July 19, 2025, Meng shared an educational event involving local students and astronaut Dr. Jonny Kim. She posted: “We spent Friday afternoon in space with @JonnyKimUSA! At @nysci our Queens students got to chat with Astronaut Dr. Jonny Kim live from the International Space Station. We learned about what he’s working on in space & what life is like without gravity. I’m thrilled to have”

Meng has served as a member of Congress since replacing Gary Ackerman in 2013 and previously held office in the New York State Assembly from 2009 to 2012. Born in New York City in 1975 and currently residing in Queens, she holds degrees from both the University of Michigan (BA) and Yeshiva University (JD).
