Grace Meng, U.S. Congresswoman representing New York’s 6th district since 2013, recently shared a series of posts on her social media account discussing community visits, economic concerns related to tariffs, and foreign policy under the current presidential administration.

On February 7, 2026, Meng highlighted local businesses in Elmhurst with a post: “Lunch, afternoon tea, and a stop at the market in Elmhurst! Taste Good Restaurant Teazzi Tea Shop Broadway Food Mart https://t.co/lkd4pJaeLN”.

A day later, she addressed rising food costs tied to tariffs: “Whether you’re tuning in for the game, the commercials, or the Bad Bunny halftime show, your Super Bowl spread is costing more this year because of Trump’s tariffs. Chicken wings for 10 people now run about $39—nearly 25% more than last year. I’m focused on bringing prices down https://t.co/4Ff9aBjBuu” (February 8, 2026).

On February 9, Meng expressed concern over U.S. foreign policy: “Look at the damage the President is doing with our allies. His attacks on NATO, coercive tariffs, and soft-on-Putin strategy are undermining decades of friendship rooted in shared values, democracy, and liberalism. Hundreds of thousands of Americans fought and died for these https://t.co/edvKON8woj”.

Meng has represented New York’s 6th district since replacing Gary Ackerman in Congress in 2013 and previously served in the New York State Assembly from 2009 to 2012. Born in Queens in 1975 and currently residing there at age 47, Meng holds degrees from the University of Michigan (BA) and Yeshiva University (JD).
