U.S. Representative Grace Meng, who serves New York’s 6th district in Congress, has recently addressed several policy issues on her social media account, including the humanitarian situation in Gaza, access to fertility care, and disability rights.
On July 25, 2025, Meng posted a statement concerning developments in the Middle East: “My full statement on the humanitarian crisis and the urgent need for peace in Gaza https://t.co/dnNAR0DGgc”.
Two days later, on July 27, she expressed support for reproductive rights: “Everyone should have the ability to start their family if, when, & how they choose. As a member of the @ReproCaucus, I will always fight to #ProtectIVF & safeguard access to fertility care for families in Queens & across the nation.”
On July 28, Meng recognized an important legislative anniversary: “Thirty-five years ago this week, the Americans with Disabilities Act became law, banning discrimination against people with disabilities in employment, transportation, and public life. While there has been significant progress, much work remains. We must keep advocating for https://t.co/8u6JpucGJc”.
Meng has represented New York’s 6th district since replacing Gary Ackerman in 2013 and previously served in the New York State Assembly from 2009 to 2012. Born in New York City and currently residing in Queens at age 47, she holds degrees from both the University of Michigan and Yeshiva University.
