Grace Meng, U.S. Congresswoman representing New York’s 6th district since 2013, has recently addressed several national and local issues through her social media posts.

On August 31, 2025, Meng raised concerns about the protection of Americans’ personal information, stating: “I’ve been sounding the alarm for months on the urgent need to protect Americans’ personal information from DOGE. These unvetted, biased staffers are putting millions of people at risk.”

The following day, September 1, Meng discussed upcoming congressional matters and public interest topics. She wrote: “Congress is back in session next week. I joined @peoplecabinet with Dan Koh to talk about what’s in store for the Epstein Files, the federal budget, and a potential government shutdown. Listen in https://t.co/0Do0pKKqD3”

Later that same day, she marked Labor Day by expressing support for unions in her district and nationwide: “On #LaborDay, we stand with unions in Queens and across the nation. When unions are strong, workers thrive—and so do our communities. Wishing everyone a wonderful & safe Labor Day weekend! https://t.co/DjJOk6DkWB”

Meng has served as a member of Congress since replacing Gary Ackerman in 2013 after previously serving in the New York State Assembly from 2009 to 2012. Born in New York City in 1975 and currently residing in Queens, she holds degrees from the University of Michigan and Yeshiva University.
