On Thursday, May 22, former Gates Chili High School standout Michael Ribis’ current collegiate team the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears lost 3-7 against the Catawba Indians in the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship.

The game took place at Newman Park at 6 p.m. and was the first matchup against the Catawba Indians in the tournament.

The Lenoir-Rhyne Bears’ next game will take place on Friday, May 23 at 6 p.m. at Newman Park.
