FOIA Request to Fashion Institute of Technology regarding recent course syllabi on August 6, 2025.
The NYC Gazette has submitted a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) seeking access to educational records. The request specifically asks for a complete list of course syllabi for all undergraduate and graduate courses offered during the Spring 2025 semester. This includes syllabi from all departments, schools, and colleges at FIT, regardless of whether the courses were conducted in-person, online, or through hybrid formats.
The request also seeks additional metadata associated with each course. This includes the course title and number, instructor name, department or academic unit, and the format in which the course was delivered. The information is requested in an electronic format to facilitate easier analysis and reporting.
