St. John’s University senior volleyball player Erin Jones has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the fourth time in the 2025 season, according to an announcement from the league office on Monday.
Jones, who plays as a setter and opposite hitter, has led the BIG EAST in triple-doubles throughout the season with a total of seven, including three during conference play. Over the weekend, she recorded back-to-back triple-doubles in away matches.
On Friday evening against Xavier, Jones posted 10 kills, a team-high 21 assists, and 10 digs, along with two service aces. The following day at Butler’s Hinkle Fieldhouse, she registered 18 kills with a .371 hitting percentage, 19 assists, and 13 digs—marking her seventh triple-double this year and her second consecutive in as many days.
So far this season, Jones is ranked eighth in the conference for total kills with 268. With six regular season conference matches left to play, she is fewer than 50 digs away from reaching 1,000 career digs at St. John’s. If she achieves this milestone, Jones would become the first player in program history to record at least 1,000 kills, assists, and digs.
The Red Storm will play two home matches this weekend at Carnesecca Arena. On Friday night at 7 p.m., they face UConn; fans attending are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes for a chance to win candy prizes. The following day is Alumni Day for the volleyball program; past players are invited for a pre-match reception at 1 p.m., followed by a match against Providence at 3 p.m.
“Erin Jones was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the fourth time in the 2025 campaign following an impressive weekend,” stated the league office announcement.
Jones’s consistent performance continues to contribute significantly to St. John’s volleyball program as it enters the final stretch of its regular season schedule.
