Columbia women’s soccer will face Monmouth University on Sunday at Commisso Stadium in New York City. The match, which is the Lions’ final non-conference game of the season, is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.

The game will be streamed live on ESPN+, and fans can follow live statistics through the Columbia athletics website. Updates and results will also be available via the team’s social media accounts on X and Instagram.

In their most recent outing, Columbia secured a 2-1 victory over Fordham at Jack Coffey Field. Gabby Chan scored the winning goal in the 88th minute after a deflected shot from Maia Tabion. Tabion also contributed her first goal of the season in the 41st minute with an assist from Justina Bitzer. Goalkeeper Samantha Mahoney made a career-high five saves and helped keep Fordham scoreless for the entire first half.

Monmouth enters Sunday’s contest with a 5-2-0 record and is currently on a four-game winning streak. The Hawks recently defeated St. John’s 2-0, with Summer Reimet scoring both goals. Last season, Monmouth finished with a 12-3-5 record, shared the CAA regular-season title, and reached the championship game under head coach Kylee Flynn, who is now in her fourth year leading the program.

Key players returning for Monmouth include Reimet and Loren Gehret, who combined for double-digit goals last fall, as well as midfielders Clara Ford and Ashley Lavrich. Tallulah Miller has anchored their defense as goalkeeper during their current run.

After Sunday’s match against Monmouth, Columbia will begin Ivy League play on September 20 with an away game against Cornell in Ithaca.
