Columbia University’s volleyball team earned its first win of the season Saturday at the Clocktower Tournament in Loudonville, New York. The Lions split a doubleheader, falling to Belmont in five sets before defeating Siena 3-1.
The team, now with a 1-5 record, showed improvement by pushing Belmont to five sets in a narrow 3-2 loss (25-23, 19-25, 25-18, 21-25, 16-18). In the afternoon match against host Siena at the UHY Center, Columbia secured a four-set victory (25-22, 23-25, 25-15, 25-19).
