Columbia squash teams host Drexel in weekend matchup

The Columbia University men’s and women’s squash teams are set to compete against Drexel University on Sunday at the SL Greenstreet Squash Center in Harlem. The matches will begin at 1 p.m.

Fans can watch the action live through the Columbia Stretch portal, with separate streams for the men’s and women’s matches. Live scores will be available via Club Locker.

Columbia’s men’s team is currently ranked No. 8 in the College Squash Association rankings, while the women’s team holds the No. 11 spot.

In their previous matches, both Columbia squads lost to Virginia at home. The men were defeated 6-3, while the women lost 8-1. On the men’s side, first-year Ahmad Haq won his third straight match at No. 3, sophomore Imad Athar earned a five-game victory at No. 6, and junior Paarth Ambani secured a win at No. 7. For the women, junior Kaavya Bansal claimed Columbia’s only point with a five-set win.

Drexel’s men’s team comes into Sunday’s contest with a record of 4-1 after an 8-1 loss to top-ranked Penn. The Drexel women are 3-3 overall; they recently defeated Georgetown 9-0 following losses to Stanford and Princeton.
