Columbia University has released the 2025-26 men’s basketball schedule, with head coach Kevin Hovde outlining a 28-game slate that includes 14 home games at Schiller Court in Levien Gymnasium.

Season tickets are set to go on sale in September. Fans seeking additional information can contact the Columbia University Athletics ticket office by phone or email.

Coach Hovde commented on the upcoming season, stating, “I’m excited to get back on the court with the team as we look forward to the upcoming season. The non-conference slate presents us with tough tests that will have us prepared for Ivy League play.”

The Lions will open their season on November 7 at New Haven and follow with an away game against UConn on November 10. Their first home game is scheduled for November 13 against UMass Lowell. These initial matchups are part of the 2025 Basketball Hall of Fame Multi-Team Event.

Columbia’s non-conference opponents include Boston University, Lehigh, Longwood, Fairfield, Sarah Lawrence, Hofstra, UAlbany, Stony Brook, California, North Florida (their first meeting), and PSU Abington. The non-conference portion concludes December 31.

Ivy League play begins January 5 at Cornell and continues through March 7 at Harvard. The conference home opener will be January 10 versus Harvard. Key stretches include three-game road trips over Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend and a trio of consecutive home games at the end of January and early February.

The top four teams in regular-season Ivy League standings will qualify for Ivy Madness from March 13-15 at Newman Arena at Cornell University.
