The Columbia men’s and women’s soccer programs announced on April 16 that they will host Alumni Day this Saturday at the Baker Athletics Complex.

The event aims to bring together former players, friends, and families of Columbia soccer for a day of games and social activities. Organizers said the festivities will start at 11 a.m. with the Columbia women’s soccer team playing Army in a friendly match at Rocco B. Commisso Soccer Stadium.

After the game, from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., alumni are invited to join both programs for pick-up games, small-sided kids games, food, and other activities at Commisso Soccer Stadium. “All alumni, friends, and families of Columbia soccer are invited. We encourage you to come back, bring a former teammate, and share some laughs,” organizers said in their announcement.

Those interested in attending are encouraged to RSVP as indicated by the organizers. Updates about both teams can be found on their respective social media channels or through GoColumbiaLions.com.

Alumni Day provides an opportunity for past players and supporters to reconnect with current athletes while fostering community ties within Columbia’s soccer programs.
