The Columbia archery team is set to host the CU Invitational this weekend at the Columbia Archery Training Center. The event will take place on Saturday and Sunday, with six schools participating: Columbia, UConn, Penn State, Princeton, Stony Brook, and Rowan.

All 12 members of the Columbia team are expected to compete. Seven will participate in women’s recurve and five in women’s compound categories. The competition includes six divisions: Women’s Recurve, Men’s Recurve, Women’s Compound, Men’s Compound, Women’s Barebow, and Men’s Barebow. Individual winners will be named for each division.

Multiple sessions are scheduled each day starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday. Most of the Columbia archers are expected to compete during these initial sessions.

Spectators can attend the event at the Columbia Archery Training Center located in the Nash Building at 3280 Broadway.

The training center opened in 2016 and was officially dedicated on September 12, 2017. It provides a 4,000-square-foot facility with a shooting range, modern technology for archery training, blue targets, a sound system, and natural light. The space is designed to support student-athletes in their development within the sport.
