CCNY men’s cross country finishes seventh at NJIT XC Challenge

The City College of New York men’s cross country team participated in the 2025 NJIT XC Challenge at Branch Brook Park in Newark, New Jersey, finishing seventh in the open section of the event.

Sophomore Trent Santoro led the team, completing the 8K course in 32:38.8 and securing 61st place overall. Justice Omoruyi, also a sophomore, finished close behind with a time of 32:45.4, earning 65th place. First-year runner Jared Bravo was next for CCNY, finishing in 32:49.9 for 67th place.

Other scorers for the Beavers included Daniel Gonzalez, a sophomore who finished in 35:12.2 (83rd), and Chengwei Bao, also a sophomore, who completed the race in 36:50.1 (91st). Additional team members competing were first-year Tristan Hyltan (37:04.2, 95th) and sophomore Henry Robles (38:00.4, 100th).

The Beavers are scheduled to compete next at the 2025 SJNY Invitational at Sunken Meadow Park in Kings Park, New York.
