Brooke Batchelor of the New York University women’s basketball team was named to the College Sports Communicators Division III Academic All-America Second Team on April 15, recognizing her achievements during the 2025-26 season.

This recognition highlights Batchelor’s performance both academically and athletically. The honor is her first selection as an Academic All-American, adding to two previous CSC Academic All-District awards.

Batchelor, a junior guard from Oakton, Virginia, received several accolades this season. These include being named University Athletic Association Defensive Player of the Year, Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Division III Honorable Mention All-American, and earning a spot on the All-Met First Team.

She played a key role in leading NYU to its third consecutive undefeated regular season and another NCAA Sectional Championship. Over the season, she averaged 13.4 points per game with shooting percentages of 48.8% from the field and 38.7% from three-point range. On defense, she recorded an average of 2.7 steals per game.

Earlier in the year, NYU set a new Division III record for most consecutive wins by securing its eighty-second straight victory on Sunday, February 8.
