State Representative Alec Brook-Krasny has extended his congratulations to Assemblyman Ed Ra following Ra’s election as Minority Leader. The announcement comes after Assemblyman Will Barclay stepped down from the leadership position.
“When Assemblyman Will Barclay (R,C-Pulaski) stepped down as leader, our Conference knew it was essential to have a strong, steady voice for reason and common sense in Albany, and Assemblyman Ed Ra (R-Franklin Square) was the clear choice,” said Brook-Krasny. “I’ve worked alongside him for years and have seen firsthand his dedication to leading our Conference and delivering real results for working families. I congratulate Leader Ra on this well-deserved achievement and look forward to supporting his efforts to make our state a better place to live, work and raise a family.”
Barclay’s resignation led the conference to select Ra due to his experience and commitment. Brook-Krasny highlighted Ra’s history of collaboration within the assembly and expressed optimism about the direction under new leadership.
