The Ivy League announced on Apr. 28 that Anna Becker and Cordelia Flemming of Columbia University have been named to the Second Team All-Ivy for women’s lacrosse, while Serena Hong was selected for the Academic All-Ivy Team.

These honors highlight a successful season for Columbia’s women’s lacrosse program, with multiple players receiving league recognition for the first time since 2018. The achievements mark what is described as the best season for Columbia Lacrosse in eight years.

Becker earned her place on the Second Team after leading the Lions’ offense with 43 goals and ranking second on the team with 54 points. She also led Columbia in draw controls and contributed defensively throughout the season. Her performance included scoring an overtime game-winning goal against Harvard, securing Columbia’s first Ivy League win since 2019. According to program records, her goal tally ties for sixth-most in a single season at Columbia, while her point total ranks eighth all-time.

Flemming was recognized as one of the top midfielders, serving as senior captain and contributing both offensively and defensively. She ranked second on her team in draw controls, ground balls, and caused turnovers while adding goals and assists. Notably, she scored a hat trick during an overtime victory over Harvard—a game where she also earned Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Hong received Academic All-Ivy honors as a psychology major who has appeared in 42 games during her career at Columbia. She has contributed nine goals, four assists, twenty ground balls, twelve caused turnovers, and nine draw controls across several seasons.

The full list of award recipients includes Jami MacDonald (Princeton) as Attacker of the Year; Charlotte Hodgson (Harvard) as Midfielder of the Year; Emmy Pascal (Yale) as Defender of the Year; Orly Sedransk (Penn) and Amelia Hughes (Princeton) sharing Co-Goaltender of the Year; Kate Gould (Yale) as Rookie of the Year; and Yale’s coaching staff being honored.
