Adriano Espaillat, U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 13th district since 2017, has recently used his social media platform to comment on political distractions and alleged corruption within the U.S. system. In a series of posts made on September 4 and 5, 2025, Espaillat addressed issues surrounding the Republican Party, Donald Trump, and the ongoing discourse about Jeffrey Epstein.
Later that day, he continued with another post: “AsĂ es como se ve realmente un sistema corrompido.
On September 5, Espaillat commented on former President Donald Trump’s reaction to economic news: “That jobs report bothered Trump so bad he’s willingly ranting about Epstein. https://t.co/KssDvMnpQ3”.
Espaillat’s remarks come amid longstanding public interest in the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein and his associates. The references to Ghislaine Maxwell and suggestions of high-level political interference reflect ongoing concerns about transparency and accountability in government proceedings.
Espaillat has served in Congress since replacing Charles Rangel in 2017 and previously held positions in both the New York State Assembly (1997-2010) and Senate (2011-2016). Born in Santiago, Dominican Republic in 1954 and currently residing in Manhattan at age 68, Espaillat is also an alumnus of Queens College, City University of New York.
