Adriano Espaillat, U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 13th district since 2017, posted a series of messages on social media promoting public health initiatives and highlighting collaboration with the Dominican Bar Association.

On September 24, 2025, Espaillat encouraged his constituents to receive their flu shots by inviting them to a local event. In English, he wrote: “It’s time to get your flu shot! Come down to 127 West 135th Street and get a free flu shot THIS FRIDAY from 10:00 – 1:00. https://t.co/fWJ9fzkvz9”. Shortly after, he shared the same message in Spanish for broader accessibility: “¡Es hora de ponerte la vacuna contra la gripe! Ven al 127 West de la calle 135 y recibe una vacuna gratuita contra la gripe este viernes de 10:00 a 1:00. https://t.co/ho94vXNLZA”.

On September 25, Espaillat expressed gratitude toward the Dominican Bar Association for their visit to his Washington, D.C., office and highlighted an educational exchange initiative. He stated: “Thank you to the Dominican Bar Association for visiting our DC office today. Together, we celebrated the first group of students participating in the U.S.–Dominican Republic Legal Immersion Program, strengthening the ties between our two nations and the next generation of”.

Espaillat has represented New York’s 13th District in Congress since replacing Charles Rangel in 2017 and previously served in both chambers of the New York State Legislature. Born in Santiago, Dominican Republic in 1954 and currently residing in Manhattan, Espaillat graduated from Queens College, City University of New York in 1978.
