Adriano Espaillat, U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 13th district since 2017, shared several statements on his social media account on September 3, 2025. The posts addressed topics ranging from transparency in government to the role of schools in supporting students.
In a message posted at 00:56 UTC, Espaillat wrote, “Me enorgullece firmar esta petición. Los estadounidenses merecen toda la verdad y nada más que la verdad. Este es el camino a seguir.”
Later that day, at 16:08 UTC, he commented on the broader significance of educational institutions for children across the United States: “Students across the country are heading back to school. For many, school is so much more than just a place for learning. It’s a place to have a guaranteed meal, to keep kids off the streets, and a place to receive basic medical care.
Unfortunately, Republicans are working night https://t.co/Fv7fBqXnpf“
Desafortunadamente,”
Espaillat has served in Congress since replacing Charles Rangel in 2017 and previously held positions in both the New York State Assembly and Senate. He was born in Santiago, Dominican Republic in 1954 and currently resides in Manhattan. He graduated from Queens College of the City University of New York with a BA degree in 1978.
