Adriano Espaillat, U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 13th district since 2017, has recently posted on social media about labor rights and local healthcare developments in his district.
On July 24, 2025, Espaillat wrote: “Me enorgullece unirme a UNITE HERE Local 23 para exigir salarios completos, apoyo y beneficios para los trabajadores de servicios de alimentación de nuestra Cámara. Mientras los subcontratistas vienen y van, estos trabajadores garantizan los servicios de alimentación para los”.
The following day, he congratulated a local healthcare provider in two posts—one in English and one in Spanish—on the opening of its new facility. On July 25, 2025, Espaillat stated: “Congratulations to the team at Hands on Rehabilitation on the grand opening of its new facility in my district. Helping patients regain independence, functionality, and quality of life through physical therapy and wellness.” He also posted: “Felicitaciones al equipo de Hands on Rehabilitation (Rehabilitación Manual) por la gran inauguración de su nuevo centro en mi distrito. Ayudando a los pacientes a recuperar su independencia, funcionalidad y calidad de vida mediante la fisioterapia y el bienestar.”
Espaillat has represented New York’s 13th District since replacing Charles Rangel in 2017. Prior to his congressional tenure, he served in the New York State Assembly from 1997 to 2010 and in the New York State Senate from 2011 to 2016. Born in Santiago, Dominican Republic in 1954 and currently residing in Manhattan, Espaillat graduated from Queens College, City University of New York with a BA in 1978.
