Adriano Espaillat, U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 13th district since 2017, announced a series of community events in Harlem and beyond through posts on his social media accounts on September 5, 2025.

On September 5, Espaillat invited the public to an event recognizing Holcombe Rucker Park as a national commemorative site.

(September 5, 2025).

Later that evening, Espaillat shared updates regarding the start of the annual youth baseball tournament in both English and Spanish. At 22:50 UTC he posted: “It’s that time of year again! Tonight, we kicked off the annual 13th Cup Tournament!

To all the little league teams competing, I wish you the best of luck! Play ball! https://t.co/7lL6hMza7E” (September 5, 2025).

Shortly after, at 22:59 UTC, he reiterated his message for Spanish-speaking followers: “¡Llegó esa época del año otra vez!

¡A jugar pelota! ” (September 5, 2025).
