U.S. Congressman Adriano Espaillat, who represents New York’s 13th district, shared several updates on August 4, 2025, highlighting his activities in the community and commenting on national political issues.

In a post published at 19:41 UTC, Espaillat wrote about his engagement with local neighborhoods and small businesses: “Una de mis cosas favoritas del periodo de trabajo en el distrito es empezar a trabajar en diferentes vecindarios, especialmente en nuestros increíbles pequeños negocios. Sin duda, la mejor ciudad del país. ¡Que tengas un buen día, Nueva York! “

Shortly after, at 19:45 UTC, he recognized a constituent celebrating a milestone birthday: “¡Me enorgullece reconocer a mi constituyente, la Sra. Cora Gilmore! Que su 100 cumpleaños esté lleno de paz, amor y felicidad, y que se encuentre rodeada de muchos amigos, familiares y seres queridos en su día especial.”

Later that evening at 21:19 UTC, Espaillat commented on Texas politics and national party dynamics: “Texas Democrats are on the right side of history, standing against Trump Republicans and fighting the extreme agenda they are trying to force across the state. Good trouble for the American people.”

Adriano Espaillat has served in Congress since 2017 after succeeding Charles Rangel as representative for New York’s 13th district. Before joining Congress, he served in both the New York State Assembly from 1997 to 2010 and the New York State Senate from 2011 to 2016. Born in Santiago, Dominican Republic in 1954 and currently residing in Manhattan at age 68, Espaillat graduated from Queens College of the City University of New York in 1978 with a BA.
