Adriano Espaillat, a U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 13th district, has recently shared his thoughts on various topics through a series of tweets. Serving in Congress since 2017, Espaillat has been active in addressing community issues and celebrating local sports achievements.

On May 16, 2025, Espaillat emphasized the importance of grassroots engagement with diverse communities such as students, working mothers, and seniors. The Congressman advocates for integrating artificial intelligence literacy alongside traditional education fundamentals like reading and mathematics.

The following day, on May 17, 2025, Espaillat expressed his excitement over the New York Knicks’ advancement to the Eastern Conference Finals. He tweeted: “The Knicks are heading to the Eastern Conference Finals. It’s been a long time coming—and—We’re ready.” In anticipation of their upcoming match against the Pacers, he added: “Next up: Pacers. Let’s dance.”

Later that same day, he reiterated his enthusiasm for the Knicks’ achievement in Spanish: “Los Knicks se dirigen a las Finales de la Conferencia Este. Hacía tiempo que lo esperábamos, y estamos listos.” This bilingual expression highlights his connection with both English and Spanish-speaking constituents.

Adriano Espaillat was born in Santiago, Dominican Republic in 1954 and currently resides in Manhattan. Before joining Congress in 2017 after succeeding Charles Rangel, he served in the New York State Assembly from 1997 to 2010 and in the New York State Senate from 2011 to 2016.
