Adriano Espaillat, U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 13th district since 2017, posted a series of tweets on July 22, 2025, referencing the ongoing Epstein scandal and reactions from political figures.
On July 22, Espaillat wrote, “They’re literally running away from the Epstein scandal.” Later that day, he reiterated his message in Spanish: “Literalmente están huyendo del escándalo de Epstein.” In a subsequent tweet posted at 17:02 UTC, Espaillat shared a video with the caption: “WATCH Mike Johnson Reponds to Mike Johnson About the Epstein Files”.
Espaillat has represented New York’s 13th District in Congress since replacing Charles Rangel in 2017. Prior to his current role, he served in the New York State Assembly from 1997 to 2010 and in the New York State Senate from 2011 to 2016. Born in Santiago, Dominican Republic in 1954, Espaillat is currently based in Manhattan and graduated from Queens College, City University of New York with a BA in 1978.
