Adriano Espaillat, U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 13th district since 2017, posted a series of statements on his social media accounts regarding recent developments in Congress and ongoing legislative priorities.
On November 6, 2025, Espaillat shared his remarks about a significant leadership change in the House of Representatives: “Mi declaración sobre la Jubilación de la Presidenta Emérita de la Cámara Nancy Pelosi.”
Later that day, Espaillat addressed his work as Ranking Member of the House Appropriations Legislative Branch Subcommittee. In an English-language post dated November 6, 2025, he stated: “As the Ranking Member of the House Appropriations Legislative Branch subcommittee, I will continue to urge bipartisan engagement to bolster protections of our government operations and technologies to prevent malicious attacks from adversarial threats and disruption to harm”.
The following day, Espaillat reiterated this message in Spanish, writing on November 7, 2025: “Como miembro de alto rango del Subcomité de Asignaciones Presupuestarias del Poder Legislativo de la Cámara, seguiré impulsando un compromiso bipartidista para fortalecer la protección de nuestras operaciones gubernamentales y tecnologías, a fin de prevenir ataques maliciosos de”.
Espaillat has represented New York’s 13th district since succeeding Charles Rangel in Congress. He previously served in both chambers of the New York State Legislature and was born in Santiago, Dominican Republic. He is an alumnus of Queens College at the City University of New York.
