Adriano Espaillat, U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 13th district since 2017, recently announced a series of community initiatives and issued a statement on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza via his official Twitter account.
On July 25, Espaillat informed constituents about upcoming events focused on paper recycling. In English, he posted: “I’m teaming up with local leaders for Shred Fest NYC: three special Constituent Service Days to meet your paper recycling needs and help keep our community clean. Espaillat succeeded Charles Rangel as representative for New York’s 13th district and has served in Congress since January 2017. He previously held positions in both the New York State Assembly and Senate between 1997 and 2016. Born in Santiago, Dominican Republic in 1954, Espaillat is currently based in Manhattan and graduated from Queens College, City University of New York with a BA in 1978.
