Adriano Espaillat, currently serving as the U.S. Representative for New York’s 13th district, has recently shared a series of updates on social media regarding immigration policy and constituent services. Espaillat, who has held his congressional seat since 2017 after succeeding Charles Rangel, addressed both national issues and local assistance provided by his office.

On July 13, 2025, Espaillat commented on public opinion regarding immigration in the United States and criticized the actions of the Trump administration.

Later that day, Espaillat highlighted the work of his constituent services team in assisting residents with federal matters. On July 13, 2025, he wrote in English: “Another success story with the help of my constituent services team. From help with visas to navigating federal agencies, my offices are available to help as needed. Visit online at https://t.co/BGKTHHSb9X for more information.”

Espaillat was born in Santiago, Dominican Republic in 1954 and has lived in Manhattan for several years. He previously served in both the New York State Assembly and Senate before being elected to Congress. Espaillat graduated from Queens College of the City University of New York in 1978 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
