Adriano Espaillat, U.S. Congressman representing New York’s 13th district since 2017, addressed climate change and immigration policy in a series of tweets posted on July 23, 2025.
On the subject of climate change, Espaillat stated: “Climate change is certain, and its undeniable and sometimes deadly impacts are witnessed in communities around our nation and the world. Investing in the Green Climate Fund would preserve the United States’ reputation as a global leader in fighting climate change.”
Espaillat has served in Congress since replacing Charles Rangel in 2017 and previously held positions in both the New York State Assembly and Senate. Born in Santiago, Dominican Republic in 1954, he currently resides in Manhattan and holds a BA from Queens College, City University of New York.
