As the 2025 Major League Baseball regular season enters its final stretch, MLB.com experts have released their latest predictions for the All-MLB Team presented by MGM Rewards. The selections recognize standout players at each position based on performance so far and projected contributions through the remainder of the season.

Selections were made for both First and Second teams across all positions, including catcher, infielders, outfielders, designated hitter, starting pitchers, and relievers.

At catcher, Cal Raleigh of the Seattle Mariners leads the First team after hitting 47 home runs and maintaining a .958 OPS. According to FanGraphs, his 7.1 Wins Above Replacement (WAR) is second only to Aaron Judge’s 7.4 among all players this season. Will Smith of the Los Angeles Dodgers was named to the Second team.

First base honors went to Vladimir Guerrero Jr. of the Toronto Blue Jays for the First team and Pete Alonso of the New York Mets for the Second team. Guerrero leads qualified first basemen in OPS (.898), on-base percentage (.398), and WAR (4.0). Alonso has posted an .871 OPS with 28 home runs and recently became the Mets’ all-time home run leader.

Ketel Marte (Arizona Diamondbacks) and Brice Turang (Milwaukee Brewers) were selected as First and Second team second basemen respectively. Third base spots went to José Ramírez (Cleveland Guardians) for First team and Manny Machado (San Diego Padres) for Second team.

Shortstop selections included Bobby Witt Jr. (Kansas City Royals) on the First team—who has an .840 OPS with 17 home runs—and Jeremy Peña (Houston Astros) on the Second team.

The outfield features Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees on the First team alongside Pete Crow-Armstrong (Chicago Cubs) and Fernando Tatis Jr. (San Diego Padres). Judge currently leads all qualifying hitters in batting average (.333), on-base percentage (.447), slugging percentage (.687), and WAR (7.4).

Designated hitter picks are Shohei Ohtani from the Dodgers—who has hit 43 home runs while also pitching effectively—and Kyle Schwarber from Philadelphia Phillies.

Starting pitcher selections include Tarik Skubal (Detroit Tigers), Paul Skenes (Pittsburgh Pirates), Garrett Crochet (Boston Red Sox), Cristopher Sánchez (Philadelphia Phillies), and Hunter Brown (Houston Astros) for First team honors. Max Fried represents the Yankees on the Second team; he holds a 3.26 ERA in his first year with New York but has struggled since July.

Relief pitcher nods go to Andrés Muñoz (Seattle Mariners) and Jhoan Duran (Philadelphia Phillies) for First team, with Aroldis Chapman (Boston Red Sox) and Edwin Díaz (New York Mets) rounding out the Second team.

Other notable mentions include Jazz Chisholm Jr., David Bednar, and Max Fried representing or playing key roles with New York teams during this season’s performances.

This mid-August poll provides insight into which players are leading their respective positions as postseason races intensify across Major League Baseball.
